We often get asked what individuals and organisations can do to support our efforts. Here is our wishlist, but feel free to contact us if you have any other creative ideas!
Individuals or organizations who wish to become involved can do so in the following ways:
- Spreading the word – tell your friends and networks what we do and what we need
- Donating – we rely on donations to cover our programme costs and salaries (Section 18A tax exemption certificate available; bank details below)
- Volunteer your skills – we need people to help with strategic planning, research, writing funding applications, helping with events, graphic design and marketing
- Help with training – we welcome speakers who specialize in education, leadership, life skills, women’s health, mental health, finances, child education…really any field!
- Help us to think of creative ways to raise funds
- Help with the evaluation and monitoring of the project
- Sponsor the printing of textbooks
- Collect small toys that we can use in our classes
- Donate stationary for the women and children to use (pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, coloured pencils and crayons, paper, dominoes, and other teaching aids)
- Make MathMoms NPC your MySchool Card beneficiary
- Take responsibility for our year-end function
